Channel 4 Undercover Britain: “Preying on Hope” 8 February
The ill have always been vulnerable to exploitation and it seems that the quacks and charlatans, so familiar to us from stories of old, continue to prey on those who seek “cures” beyond conventional medicine. Channel 4's Undercover Britain programme focused on Mark, a young man with AIDS, and provided a poignant, disturbing insight into modern day exploitation. Through the hidden camera and microphone we were treated to glimpses of such men (and they were all men) at work.
