US military announces ban on smoking

The military in the US, the world's biggest employer, announced last week that it will put an almost complete ban on smoking. The military, which in the past has encouraged cigarette smoking among soldiers and sailors, said that no one would be allowed to light up in any workplace - from military offices to tanks and helicopters.
